Terms of Service

Minas is a personal finance companion. Use it for yourself, be kind to other users, don’t try to break it, and understand it’s guidance, not financial advice. Full detail below.

These Terms govern your use of the Minas app and website (collectively, “Minas”, “we”, “our”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Minas.

You must be 16+ to use Minas. You’re responsible for activity under your account — keep your login credentials safe and let us know if you suspect unauthorized use. You can sign in with Google or try the demo account; the demo is shared and pre-populated, and is not intended for storing real personal data.

• Minas helps you log transactions, set goals, budget, track bills, and reflect weekly.
• AI-generated insights (Money Moments, Ask Minas) are for reflection, not professional advice.
• Minas is not a bank, broker, tax advisor, or registered financial advisor. Nothing in Minas is investment, tax, or legal advice.
• Always verify important numbers yourself before acting on them.

Minas offers a free tier and two paid tiers — Plus ($4/mo or $29/yr) and Connected ($9.99/mo or $79/yr). Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid tiers renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Billing; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are at our discretion — reach out and we’ll do what’s fair.

Bank linking is provided by Plaid. When you connect a bank, Plaid securely exchanges credentials and returns transactions and balances to Minas. You can disconnect at any time from the Banks page. We never see or store your bank username or password.

• No scraping, reverse-engineering, or abusing rate limits.
• No uploading of other people’s personal/financial data without their consent.
• No using Minas for illegal activity.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules. We’ll try to warn you first when reasonable.

Some features (Ask Minas, Money Moments, Audio Moment) are generated by third-party AI models. Generated content is probabilistic — it can be wrong or out-of-date. Treat it as a starting point for reflection, not as authoritative advice.

We may update these Terms as Minas evolves. If we make material changes we’ll notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

You can stop using Minas anytime. You can request account deletion by emailing us (see Contact). We may terminate accounts for serious Terms violations.

Minas is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to Minas in the 12 months before the claim.
