Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run Minas, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time. Details below.

• Account info — your name, email, profile picture (from Google Sign-in), preferred currency, and time zone.
• Financial data you enter — transactions, budgets, goals, bills and recurring subscriptions. This is your data. You own it.
• Bank-aggregated data (if you opt in) — transactions, balances, and investment holdings pulled via Plaid for accounts you explicitly link. We never see your bank credentials.
• Billing info — handled entirely by Stripe. We store only the session ID and subscription status, never card numbers.
• Product analytics — anonymized usage events (page views, feature usage) via PostHog, so we can make Minas better. No financial details are sent.

• To run the core features of Minas (dashboards, weekly Money Moments, goals, etc.).
• To send you email you’ve opted into — welcome, activation, weekly Money Moment, billing receipts.
• To generate AI insights (Claude, OpenAI) grounded in your own numbers.
• To detect abuse and keep the service running.

We never sell your personal or financial data to third parties.

• Google — for sign-in (name, email, profile picture only).
• Plaid — if you opt in to bank linking.
• Stripe — for payments, if you subscribe.
• Resend — to deliver email you’ve opted into.
• Anthropic (Claude) & OpenAI — to generate Money Moments, Ask Minas answers, and Audio Money Moment narration. We send only anonymized summaries of your numbers, never raw account identifiers.
• PostHog — anonymized product analytics.
• MongoDB Atlas / our hosting provider — to store your data securely.

We keep your account and financial data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, with limited retention of billing records we’re required to keep for tax/compliance.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct or delete your data.
• Export your data (CSV).
• Opt out of analytics or marketing emails.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.

Minas uses localStorage to keep you signed in (a session token) and remember your preferred currency. PostHog may set a cookie to count unique visits. We do not run advertising cookies.

We use HTTPS everywhere, store data encrypted at rest, and follow standard industry practice. No system is perfectly secure — if you suspect an issue, email us immediately at security@tryminas.com.

Minas is not intended for children under 16. If we learn we’ve collected data from a child under 16, we’ll delete it.

We may update this policy as Minas evolves. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or emailed to you.
